Beef Strips with Broccoli and Mongolian Recipe Sauce

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

KEEP FROZEN - Thawing beef and broccoli is not necessary before cooking.

For food safety and quality, please follow these cooking instructions and check that food is *cooked thoroughly to a minimum of 165°F.

STOVETOP (PREFERRED METHOD) 


  • Thaw unopened sauce packet for 5 minutes in warm water or until completely thawed and set aside.
  • Pour 1 Tbsp. of oil into a large nonstick skillet at medium heat.
  • Add the contents of beef bag and contents of two bags of broccoli and heat for 10-12 minutes, turning frequently.
  • Pour sauce over beef and broccoli in skillet and mix until evenly coated.
  • Continue heating for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until cooked*.
  • Serve and Enjoy.

MICROWAVE:


Instructions based on 1000WATT microwave oven. Minor adjustments may be necessary.


  • Thaw unopened sauce packet for 5 minutes in warm water or until completely thawed and set aside.
  • Place frozen beef and broccoli in a large microwaveable bowl.
  • Add 2 Tbsp. of water, cover and cook on HIGH for 10-12 minutes, stir halfway through cooking (Caution: When opening the cover, hot steam will come out).
  • Uncover the bowl and pour sauce over beef and broccoli and stir. 
  • Cover and heat on HIGH for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until cooked*.
  • Let stand for 1 minute. Serve and enjoy.

AIR FRYER AND MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS (If crispy beef is preferred):


  • Thaw unopened sauce packet for 5 minutes in warm water or until completely thawed and set aside.
  • Place the contents of beef bag in the air fryer basket and heat for 6 to 8 minutes at 400˚F (No preheating is required).
  • Place contents of broccoli bags in a large microwaveable bowl.
  • Add 2 Tbsp. of water, cover and cook on HIGH for 8-10 minutes, stir halfway through cooking (Caution: When opening the cover, hot steam will come out).
  • Uncover the bowl and pour the sauce over broccoli and stir. 
  • Cover and heat on HIGH for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until cooked*.
  • Add the crispy beef on top of broccoli and sauce, stir, serve and enjoy. 

*Some sauce packets may appear cloudy or have varying shades of color. Once fully thawed, the sauce is perfectly fine to eat, and there is no difference in flavor or quality.
